"simply put, you believe that things or people make you unhappy, but this is not accurate. You make yourself unhappy." - Wayne Dyer Did you know that the sense of unhappiness is so much easier to convey than that of happiness. In misery we seem aware of our own existence, even though it may be in the form of a monstrous egotism: this pain of mine is individual, this nerve that winces belongs to me and to no other. But happiness annihilates us: we lose our identity. when you look back at the cyclone disaster in Myanmar; have it ever strike your mind that the poor always gets poorer and they always, faced with tragedy that is caused by the natural disaster. while the rich, usually will gets richer; living their life peacefully throughout. shouldn't we just feel blessed living peacefully throughout? did you ever realised that how lucky we are being a singaporean, living in a well-developed country with no natural disaster. No doubt, the country is small and one gets bored easily. And i'm still having the mindset of migrating! haha. well, back on track. so why are we people still complaining and whining up and down about our job and life and stuff? when we face a little setback, it just seems like the whole world topple over and the thought of giving up will appear. (alright, i think the above statement is just ME!) maybe sometimes, we are just being too pampered by the parents, the government and the environment. |
