Just last week, I managed to see two bloomed cherry blossom trees at the entrance of ueno park. Though that wasn't the famous 染井吉野 (Somei-yoshino) that bloom and usually fall within a week, it was still beautiful and mersmerizing! :D
I still love freezing island so much more than tokyo itself. Freezing island is all about nice food, nice weather, nice people, nice hotsprings! I'm not a big fan of tokyo since it doesn't offer much 'cept for good shopping. I am so addicted to all my hokkaido milk, cheesecake, seafood sashimi, and hotspring! I practically soaked myself in the hotspring thrice daily, and tried the radium hot stone bath this time round. I'll definitely miss all these when I stop travelling over, not forgetting my waiterboy too. I hate to think when is going to be my last trip. It makes me miss the people there loads, especially those I really enjoyed working with. )):
I didn't have time to do shopping for myself since I accompanied my humans to look for what they want in tokyo. And my last morning in tokyo, I brought few of them out to take the subway to and fro harajuku from ikebukuro. In between, I dropped by shinjuku to check out my colleague's stuff. If only I could leave them to return themselves, I would have time to shop at Ikebukuro too. Well at least, I drag them back in time to meet my favourite for lunch! ((:
ooh, and I had sushi again!
Since I was given the choice to choose, and I am missing Japan's sushi badly. It's been half a year since I had such delectable sushi! And he's bringing me for french cuisine and pasta for my coming trip!
Finally, I'm heading 日本国 for SPRING!!
With my new coat that is perfect for the weather! :D
I rejected my march trip on thursday even though it's my lovely disneyland.
Disneyland is love, but I prefer freezing island more. :D
Then today, I called back asking for disneyland trip on the other date since i'll have company to go to disneysea! Let's hope everything goes well and i'll get to see sakura during that trip!
No more blocked ears, no more running nose, no more cough, and no more itchy scratchy! And now, i've got my beautiful voice back too. I don't sound like a toad anymore. :D
My flu was so bad there, and I don't know how I got the cough bug too. Guess I was feverish on the second night, tossed and turned around the bed for a whole 2hrs with my freezing hands and feet. I'd only managed to fall asleep after I had the panadols. Having 5 doctors and 1 nurse in your group doesn't make any different. The first person to realise that I was so sick was my super nice driver. Till then, my guide passed me his flu medicine that was rather effective, but extremely bitter.
My driver is really really cute! I've been teaching him english throughout the trip, and he's been teaching me Japanese in return. We still can understand each other pretty well despite that we're conversing in broken english and japanese. :D
In a few hours time, i'm departing to the north and be freeze by the weather.
The weather is crazy today, southern part of hokkaido is way colder than the central area. Alright, maybe it has been crazy for weeks. It's snowing like snow is free and yes indeed, snow is free.
Since '07, I'm finally heading to the ski resort again. And my guide is picking us up at Narita instead of Chitose. For once, i don't have to survive through the 3hr transit time, and another 1.5hr domestic flight alone! :D
Can't wait to be back in Otaru on Sunday! I'm missing my letao cheesecake & kitakaro's cream puff! Shall skip breakfast for that. :P
Ohh, and not forgetting waiterboy on Sunday too! :D
My trip was awesome and blessed with nice people. ((:
I ♥ winter really. Though its really cold sometimes, being negative all the way in Hokkaido but the breathtaking scenery makes everything worthwhile. Of course, I got a wonderful companion this time round too! :D
But my luggage handle chose to die on me on the 3rd day. So It's time to invest on a new four wheel luggage! But now I can't decide if I want a hard cover or a soft cover. Zzz
Sometimes I just can't stand myself for being so indecisive. =P
And I managed to get hold to the latest Japan limited edition Agnes b tote that is out specially for christmas'09! :D
Whee ~I called this lovely bag - my very expensive plastic bag. HAHAHA
Here I am back in this sunny island, missing 日本国 alot. I miss the fun, miss the people, miss the weather, miss the food, miss having the hotel room to myself.
This is absolutely the best trip I've been to - Exciting, Fun, Hilarious, Unforgettable.
I took the cab in Tokyo, took the JR train alone, tried on many many new food, drink together with the bunch of alcoholics, got myself 2 potential father-in-laws, see my waiter-boy, got to know a chinese girl in Japan.
YesYes. Waiter-Boy.
I was so excited to show mummy our new photo and I kept telling daddy to see his future son-In-law picture. LOL Apparently the mum doesn't like the idea very much and think that i'm insane to even put that picture as my phone wallpaper. HAHAHA
1 year ago, and 1 year after! :D
I supposed I'll see him again 3 mths later!
I flew there with a flat tummy, but back gaining a kg or two. I felt so guilty that I make myself do sit-up before sleeping every night! Then I can't stop complaining to Chris that the rate we're eating, exercise wouldn't help. But still, we ate. Practically every stop, we eat besides our 3 meals.
Otaru stop was sashimi scallop, corn, LeTao Cheesecake, then to Shu'Cream.
Sapporo stop was Mister Donut, chocolate ice-cream and yummilicious peach.
Hakodate stop was raw corn, sashimi squid, Snaffle cheesecake, fruit wrap.
Hakodate Morning Market was sashimi sea urchin, BBQ abalone, big crab and corn.
Asakusa stop was Yoshinoya's Gyudon (which is so freaking nice) and then starbucks.
Shinjuku stop was sushi from standing sushi bar.
Imagine the fats I've gained ): But seriously, every stuff I ate is freaking nice.
I am never a sashimi person. But now, I'm craving for sashimi everyday and I start to appreciate wasabi like finally! He made me eat the sashimi squid that is so damn gross, with the tentacles still sucking onto the plate. I freaked out a lil' when I first try to pick it up with my chopsticks, and it still move like a snake. Then it was an OMG feeling when the tentacles are sucking onto my tongue. Maybe one try is enough, sashimi squid isn't really to my liking. :P
No fruit picking, but I still get to eat my yummilicious grapes! I was pretty much disappointed when I knew there's no fruit picking. So Mr.Nice offer to get someone to da-bao the grapes on my last day of stay and send it to the airport for me to bring back to sunny island, for the family and the two loves! :D
By the way, I am so freaking impressed of myself cause I took JR to and fro Shinjuku - Harajuku on my own on the last day! Never got lost and I still find my way back to Shinjuku's standing sushi bar for lunch :D
Harajuku is nice but the schorching sun caused me to be tanned now. ):
Early saturday morning, it was already packed with people. Guess they just love shopping like I do! :D
For whatever reason, every trip just make me fall in love with the country and the culture even more. (:
I was dreading previously but now I am enjoying to bits, that I don`t feel like flying back so soon. :D
but still, all that I was looking forward in this trip are not available.
No fruit picking = no grapes. No cream puff because it`s sold out.
It`s Otaru today! :D
And instead of strolling around, it was just sitting around cafe for the nicest food there. Then, I think chris is trying to make me fat because we have been eating from one place to another. sashimi scallop, corn, LeTao cheese cake, shu cream puff (with the size of my face), coffee . We got so sick of dairy products after that that we can`t squeeze in ice cream. LOL Was suppose to head for the supermarket for peach at night but I am just to full to squeeze in any more food.
I think I`m gonna tag with him to Harajuku on my last day since he`s going for a haircut :D
Alrightt. I`ve got a group of alchoholics who are damn entertaining. But it also means that we need to entertain them longer cause they`re drinking. Then I tried Chivas which was nicer than I expected. LOL
It`s gonna be a crazy night tomorrow again. Chivas + Sapporo Beer + Karaoke for them.
Saturday don`t come so soon please! (:
P.S. I`m trying so hard to communicate with my driver!
I fell in love with Ralph Lauren's canvas tote, but mummy just don't like it cause she find it too "open". but but but, it's really pretty to me! i didn't fancy any agnes b bags this time round except for their watches, but the mum says its stupid to get the watch. LOL
So i shall erhemm, consider getting the small tote bag for my 21st birthday this year. Samantha Thavasa wallet or a Ralph Lauren tote, i shall ask the parents if they would like to sponsor me some moo-lahs for that! =D daddy tried the coffee i bought for him from japan, and its so freaking interesting!! then not forgetting my few collection of interesting kit-kat and chocolate. My favourite is meiji salty crunch cause they really have salt crunch in the chocolate itself!.Then the watermelon with salt and shoyu (soy sauce) flavour kitkat. =) its tuition tomorrow again . . . and i can't decide if i should get a weekend job.
I am totally drained out from my japan trip. my legs and neck muscles are aching so badly now because of the non-stop walking the past few days. but still it was fun though it rain on the day i visit Disneyland. =(
Was burning at 38 degrees on the second day in osaka. popped in pills and slept through the night, hoping so much that it's not gonna be some unfriendly virus. But well, it isn't. Think i'm just too drained out from the whole day of walking from 10am to 10pm. LOL
I love the themeparks though its pretty weird enjoying the rides on your own, taking pictures here and there, grabbing any human around you to snap a photo for you, hunting down all the mascots but to no avail. at least it's nice when you get to take the ride faster by taking the single pass lane. HAHAHA
Disneyland was quite a disappointment. it's not as "mickey" as i thought it would be and quite a few rides were closed that day, including mickey's house! ): Since it's raining, i dont get to see much mascots moving around so i didn't manage to grab mickey and take a photo with him. oh well, i'll still be back some days. next stop shall be disneysea if i get the chance. (:
Anyway, i am so proud of myself cause i won a stitch from the claw machine and i only used 200yen (SGD$3)!! =D Bought two tobacco back as well. oh oh, i've got vonn's birthday present as well! I shall just let you have a glimpse of it before holding on to the real item!! =D *by the way, "stichie" is mine okay. not yours. =D*
it's so so pretty! so i shall save up and get myself a samantha thavasa purse!! I don't mind if anyone wants to get it for me for my birthday! =D
oh well, pictures are in facebook. It's just too much to load up here! =D
before i start pacing up and down my house, making all sort of funny faces to release my "nervousness", i shall quickly finish typing this entry and then blow-dry my hair, and sleep. i'm gonna miss my lovelies for a week, but i'm gonna spread my love to mickey and maybe bring a new friend back! too bad, mummy forbids me to bring horii along. but i'll bring small rabbit along to accompany through my nights. hahaha
I hate how the virus is spreading like free over in Japan. I hate all the problems that is clinging on to me right now. No one truly understand how i feel.
i can't bear to miss this opportunity but at the same time, i feel skeptical about the trip and hate the fact that i let my parents worry. ultimately, i still have to proceed with the trip because i gave my confirmation last week and there's no more backing out. say me dumb or whatever. sometime's the consequences of backing out doesn't just revolve around you yourself, it's the whole picture that matters.
because japan got themselves into domestic outbreak, i shall pray and hope that H1N1 virus ain't going to spread like free over in osaka. else i'm gonna be stuck back in this small sunny island of mine, and i shall bid disneyland goodbye. ):
went for hair trim and treatment today, but the stylist end up cutting my hair. not a bad thing though, cause my split ends are gone and it's shorter and thicker!!! best thing is when it looks healthier. =D so i was telling my mum, maybe i should cut botak, so i get to "re-grow" my hair which will end up being healthier! HAAHHAHA
first paper down and ansoff killed me totally. i hope nothing's gonna kill me for my subsequent papers.
I can't decide if i should go for the Japan trip, but its Disneyland, Universal Studio, Mt. Fuji everything that i've been looking for so long and just because of the swine flu monster ):
Just last week, I managed to see two bloomed cherry blossom trees at the entrance of ueno park. Though that wasn't the famous 染井吉野 (Somei-yoshino) that bloom and usually fall within a week, it was still beautiful and mersmerizing! :D
